FORMAT:

9 sessions, 1-to-1 with flexible dates and times.

CONTENT:

Course content covers aspects of both Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Also Presence-Based Coaching and other works from a wide range of mindfulness teachers, coaches and practitioners including Daniel Siegel, Eckhart Tolle, Rebecca Shafir, and James Kouzes. Sessions include guided mindfulness exercises, reflections on experiences and discussions. This course is entirely experiential and, by its nature, responsive to the moment. We explore the following concepts:

  • coach’s “being” vs. coach’s “doing”
  • coaching presence & its qualities
  • coaching in the “Now”
  • coach as a watcher
  • coach’s “grounding” – techniques to use before, during and after the coaching session 
  • presence tools for deeper client reading: mind, body, heart, breath, silence & stillness, mind-body-heart-full-ness and working to align these in harmony.

There will be plenty of opportunity to practice mindfulness and discuss how mindfulness and coaching complement each other.

ENTRY REQUIREMENT:

This course requires engagement, self-discipline and commitment to practice. Participants are asked to commit at least 30 minutes of home practice every day throughout the course.

It is advised to start the course at a suitable time of your life, when in general you are feeling happy and content and have sufficient time to set aside for practise.

This will increase your chances of successfully establishing yourself in mindfulness practice.
